So this week I got an updated iPad, figured mine was aging out and I wanted to be able to sell it before it got to old and wasn’t worth anything in resale value. So now I have the most current M4 iPad Pro, so far I am happy with it. It does seem faster than my previous one. The only downside was that I had to also get a new Apple Pencil and new keyboard, the latter of which I definitely needed as I wind up using this thing more as a laptop than a tablet with that.
In other recent updates, started the new full time gig, the company I am currently working for sucks, being I went from working for a multi-billion dollar a year company to a company that barely clears 100 million. And then don’t get me started on the management types, they certainly don’t seem to know what they are doing. But oh well what is one to do when you need your job, just gotta roll with it and that is what I am doing. At some point I am hoping that something new comes up and I can get out of here.
My home office/studio is also fully set up, now I just have to find the time to actually get in there and do work on some of my paintings. I am working on that, just have to be able to rearrange some of my time after I get home from work in order to do that, at this point even if its just 15 – 30 minutes a day that would be great. We have also been doing stuff to our front porch to make it nicer to use for sitting outside till we can get the deck fixed, as it is mostly unsafe at the moment due to some rotting beams that hold it up. I have it shored up so it won’t collapse and now have to make a plan for doing the repairs which shouldn’t be to hard once I find the means to jack the deck up a couple of inches. But I am happy with what we have done with the front porch though simple, it makes it nicer and homier.
On the lifting front, I have been able to keep my weight below 205 the last 3 – 4 weeks which is a good thing, this morning weighed in at 203.2, which is around the lowest I have been in a long time. My primary goal still is to get to 10% body fat and maintain it there, I currently stand at 17.9%, so that is moving ever so slightly in a lower direction so happy about that. I have started getting up first thing in the AM to get in my workouts before going to work, that is generally at 3AM, it feels good to get it in that early and makes the rest of the day a bit better, and at days end allows me to train my wife only instead of worrying about both of us getting done, it also allows us to get home a little faster that way on most days. I just have to adjust to make sure I can get up each morning, 2 days this week I missed getting up body was just too comfortable sleeping.
Well this will be it for now, just some quick updates.
Later!
David
